Best Morning Pick-Me-Up
At the risk of sounding like some sort of health nut (as well as seeming a bit blog-happy today, this being my fourth post), I thought I'd share what is one of my absolute favorite morning rituals: and that's the downing of at least a full liter of cold water. I guess you can call it ice water, since we keep our Brita pitcher in the fridge all the time and drink our water out of that.
It wakes you up and gets your body moving better than just about any sort of coffee or drug-drink can, and it flushes your system and gets you feeling good right away. Plus, if you're one of those folks who believe in the eight glasses of water a day theory, you're already over halfway there by drinking a liter (which, for those metric-challenged individuals, is a little over a quart).
Give it a try for a week. Buy yourself a liter bottle and fill it with water each night, then drink it as fast as you can as soon as you wake up. I guarantee you'll feel better throughout the day!
